Canada Permanent Residency

Migration to Canada has recently become more accessible, and the Canada Express Entry programme allows you to work and settle in Canada for an extended period of time. Every skilled professional seeking greener pastures and better job opportunities applies for permanent residency through one of their federal economic immigration programmes, which include the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canada Experience Class (CEC).

The Canada Express Entry system, which was launched in 2015, is an online immigration system that manages skilled worker applications for Permanent Residency in Canada. Provincial Nominee Program(PNP)

The provinces and territories of Canada are able to nominate qualified professionals who have expressed an interest in coming to the country and eventually settling there through the Provincial Nominee Programs. Each province has a set of specifications and standards by which they choose candidates for nomination. In essence, the Canadian Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) entails a prospective immigrant submitting a petition through a specific province or territory in Canada, which then has the authority to nominate individuals. Québec is an exception to these programmes because the province has its own set of pre-defined standards for making decisions. Every province and territory in Canada has its own unique Provincial Nomination Programs that are thoughtfully designed to specifically address the needs of the province or territory in order to attract businesspeople, investors, and/or qualified skilled labour. The candidate must concentrate on the specific Canadian province to which he or she wants to immigrate using the provincial nominee schemes (as referenced below)

Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)

An official permit or document known as a "Labor Market Impact Assessment" enables a Canadian employer to lawfully hire a skilled foreign worker for their company or organisation. A positive LMIA shows that hiring a qualified foreign employee is urgently needed to fill the position. Additionally, it shows that no other Canadian employee or holder of a Canada PR Visa is available or qualified to perform that job. Consequently, in order to hire highly qualified foreign workers, Canadian employers would need a positive LMIA. You can migrate to Canada as a skilled professional for an employer with the help of the LMIA, or you can choose from options that are LMIA-exempt. Decide whether an LMIA process or a work permit are necessary for your pathway.Accordingly, your employer must do one of the following:

  • Distinguish the LMIA exemption codes and work permit exemptions.
  • Pick the fitting LMIA exemption or work permit code as per your employment circumstances.
  • Incorporate the exemption code in your offer of employment or.
  • Contact the International Mobility Workers Unit if they are recruiting a foreign worker who is presently outside Canada and hails from a visa-exempt county.

What are the minimum eligibility requirements?

Employers:
  • Must show that their job proposition is genuine and legitimate.
  • Present a transition plan for the same.
  • Should advertise the Job Vacancy on the Government of Canada Job Bank.
  • Must conduct at least two extra adequate methods of enrollment with the occupation.
  • Salary compensation must be similar to Canadian workers or residents.
  • When the employer receives the LMIA, the skilled foreign worker can apply for a Canadian work permit and eventual Canada Immigration.

  • A valid Canadian employment offer.
  • A contract of employment.
  • A copy of the LMIA.

Pilot Programs

1. Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot(RNIP)

A new programme called the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) was introduced in June 2019 with the goal of enhancing smaller communities, particularly those in rural areas. Employers in the participating communities will be given the chance to post job openings. If you are a skilled foreigner seeking to work and live in Canada, you can apply for these jobs, and if you are hired, the community may recommend you to the government for permanent residence. Canada is in need of skilled workers urgently due to declining birth rates and early retirement. Despite the large influx of skilled immigrants to the Great White North, nearly 70% of them choose to settle in urban areas like Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia, leaving rural communities with significant gaps. The fact that while opportunities in urban areas may seem more lucrative, they also come with a significantly higher cost of living is something that the majority of immigrants fail to consider. Second, there is a lot more competition for jobs due to the undeniable preference of young native professionals and skilled foreigners for urban hubs. Because there is no one available to fill the gaps, there is a higher demand, which inevitably results in a higher salary. This is the hidden benefit of looking for employment in smaller communities.

As seen in the table above there are five provinces with multiple communities in each that are participating in the Rural and Northern immigration pilot (RNIP).

Brandon and Altona are situated in the south of Canada at the very bottom of Manitoba. Sudbury, Timmins, Sault Ste Marie, and Thunder Bay in Ontario are all located in the south of the province on or near Lake Superior. /p>

Claresholm in Alberta is only a short drive from the Canadian Rockies and Vernon and West Kootenay are beautiful small towns surrounded by greenery in the heart of British Columbia.

Aside from the natural beauty of the areas these Canadian towns are located in, these are also the fairest weather regions Canada will have to offer year-round. These underrated towns have vacancies spread across a variety of sectors. Let’s take a closer look at the top in-demand jobs in the rural areas and how to qualify for the Rural and Nothern Immigration Pilot program.
